Do we need Siri
Of course it won’t run on iPhone 4. That’s part of Apple’s strategy, incremental meaningless hardware updates that are forced on you through intentional software barriers. You want Siri (which btw is not even an impressive piece of software…), you will pay the price of a new handset. Oh, and let’s not forget that 6 months or so from now iPhone 5 will come out, likely looking exactly like iPhone 4S but with 4G and some meaningless software that is locked to it just like Siri. Yawn.
Also, am I the only one wondering why exactly Apple needs all your voice commands routed through a central server to do something that android does right on your handset? Sounds like an excuse to harvest even more of your data without your consent (re: gps). Oh well, the iLemmings will undoubtedly continue to march off that overpriced, superglossy cliff one after another.
